Kingston Sheep Dog Trials Festival, Kingston
August 11 to 13, 2017
Where: Grass Creek Park, 2993 Highway 2 East, Kingston.
Event Blurb: Three days of sheep dog events, trials and competitions herding sheep along with other doggie attractions including Canadian Canine Lure Course, zoo-like animal encounters at “Zoo to You,” Rideau River Dock Dogs, agility, K-9 demos and crafts and vendors. $15 or $10 for tickets online.

Paws in the Park, Toronto

Where: Woodbine Park,  Toronto. 9 am to 3 pm.
Event Blurb: Paws in the Park is the annual fundraiser for the Toronto Humane Society. Join (with pledges) the walk-a-thon with your dog. Other activities include a photo booth, vendors, and celebrity appearances. Dog Lovers Days Lure and agility course will also be there.

Woofa Roo Pet Fest, Essex County

Event Blurb: Promoted as Essex County’s only pet and family-friendly festival, Woofa Roo Pet Fest is down days of Dock Diving, Flex Ball, dog agility, pony rides, vendors and more. A silent auction supports local rescue organizations. Admission is only $5.

Movie in the Park – for Dogs. Waterloo

Event Blurb: For a minimum $5 donation per person (or dog) join fellow dog lovers at the park for food trucks, vendors, and a showing of The Secret Lives of Pets movie – likely at dusk.  Bring a blanket.
