The Professional Dog Walkers Association Int. was founded in the City of Toronto and we support the program for licensing dogs and cats in Toronto and other Cites.

We encourage all pet owners to license their pets to ensure that proper identification is available, which will help reunite you with your pet if you ever get separated.

You never go out without your ID, so make sure your dog or cat has theirs!

The process is done simply through the mail. For your convenience we have provided the contact information for a shelter near you (in Toronto) and the link to print out the application form.

Please note you may need to contact your veterinarian for a copy of your pets spay/neuter certificate or microchip number to obtain a further discount.

The information below is from the City of Toronto Animal Services website.

Pet Licence Application Program

Toronto Animal Services offers reduced fee opportunities for cat and dog owners. It is the law that all dogs and cats must be licensed in the City of Toronto. Failure to licence your cat or dog each year may result in a $240.00 ticket. If you are taken to court under the current law, the maximum penalty is a $5,000.00 fine. Be a responsible owner, licence your pet today!

Please note: On June 16th 2005, Toronto City Council amended Municipal Code Chapter 349 (Animals) to increase the fees for dog licences, to become effective August 2, 2005.
