The Professional Dog Walkers Association International was honoured to have been a sponsor for the annual Doggie Day Afternoon Festival. This festival raises money to create dog related educational programs for both dogs and youths at the Jimmy Simpson Recreation Centre in Toronto. There were over 40 pet related exhibits and the PDWAI was there conducting the Canadian Canine Good Citizen Test. Upon completion of the test, the dogs walked away with their proud owners with Certificates in hand, proving that their pet dog truly is a good neighbour in their community! The PDWAI team was awesome! The time and effort put in by the members, attending the booth and conducting the tests made it such a success that we have a demand from the public for this to not only be a regular event at the Doggie Day Festival next year, but all year round. Stay posted for upcoming dates to take the Canadian Canine Good Citizen Test! Thank you to Brenda Hughson of Brenbran's Walk N' Wag, Jackie Stackelberg of Gone Walkabout Dog Walking, Cristina Castro of What a Walk, Jennifer Kennett of Pet Pals, Bonnie Stengel of Let the dogs Out!, and Melanie Hildebrand of The Welcome Wag'in.

Thanks! Dianne E.
